Armani Museum

Armani Museum

Where to go for inspiration in Milan?
For example, here.

Armani Museum.
Giorgio Armani, an Italian fashion designer who was born on July 11th, 1934. As of today, he is one the richest people in Italy, the owner of his labels - Armani, Armani Privé, ArmaniCollezioni, Armani Jeans, Armani Exchange, Armani Junior, Armani Casa; is co-owner of Burj Khalifa and the most stylish hotel of his own name in the centre of Milan, very good disco club (checked by myself more than once), restaurant with a panorama view at the city.
He created costumes for such filmes - "American Gigolo", " The Comfort of Strangers ", " Intouchables ", " The Matrix ".
He always dresses up the most handsome men and the most beautiful women for red carpets! Our local celebrities could learn a thing or two.
So he is not just a person, but a living legend who doesn’t stop for a minute and seems that everything he thinks of becomes success.
Now the museum too. Why not if you are Italian style legend?
When you are in the museum, the simplicity of forms, laconic interior, minimalism impresses you, everything here is from glass and concrete, and the looks of the staff – every man looks like sum of Brad Pitt and any handsome guy at your taste! Everyone wears black. You buy a ticket for 12€ and get into the fairy-tale of music, colour, light, costume history and style in last 35 years from Armani.
You don’t want to talk, just watch and memorize.
I honestly don’t know what else new we can make up after Armani. After Armany the deluge.

It’s hard to tell my own feelings – when I was a little girl, was wearing soviet tights, that always have stretched knees, and simple chintz dress, was living in a small and very soviet flat, we had 4 magazines – Cosmopolitan, Vogue. When I wanted to escape to a fairy-tale I looked into those magazines with beautiful women and men, houses and cars, streets and cities. And each issue had photos of Armani, his collections. I remember asking mother where those things were. And she replied – abroad. And it was absolutely clear at that moment that it was very far away and you cannot walk or go there. But the world changes, we grew up, started going abroad, buying magazines and all those things in the magazines. No problems.
But having come to the museum I felt like that small girl in tights minus 27 years, as if I came through time machine. You’re sitting, watching film – history of Armani and his thoughts you would have never imagined sitting here, now; that childish fairy-tale would become true. That life is an ongoing surprise, you just need to wish for it right way.
So you are in the childhood, drinking grown-up coffee, you are being smiled at, and you remember your path up until this moment.
Awesome!
P.S: he is a very stylish man at his 82, saw that with our own eyes!
